Community Centered Care
Acupuncture is a 5,000 year old practice that has been proven time and time again to help regulate the nervous system at a cellular level. Your practitioner will stimulate specific points on the body using thin, sterile needles as small as a hair follicle (or smaller!) There are over a dozen energetic meridians and hundreds of points throughout the body that synchronize to create a targeted treatment based on your unique ailments and goals. Acupuncture and Chinese medicine is an evidence informed practice and has significant research in alleviating pain, regulating hormones, improving mental illness, aiding in battling addiction, and much more.
At its core function, acupuncture stimulates the body’s natural healing process. It works with every physiological system in the body to maintain homeostasis, and tap into our parasympathetic nervous system to promote true healing.
Your practitioner practices different styles of acupuncture including classical Traditional Chinese Medicine, Japanese acupuncture, and orthopedic/sports medicine needling to best meet your needs.
Herbal medicine is just as old as acupuncture, and has been carried through many different cultures. Your practitioner uses both classical and customized Eastern formulas and Western herbs to help amplify the therapeutic effect of your treatment protocol. Specific formulations and dosages are uniquely chosen based on the person and the condition(s) being treated.
